• [Luk 1:31] God Whom Earth, And Sea, And Sky, The

  The God Whom earth, and sea, and sky, Adore, and laud, and magnify, Who o’er their threefold fabric reigns, The virgin’s spotless womb contains. The God Whose will by moon and sun And all things in due course is done, Is borne upon a maiden’s breast, By fullest heavenly grace possest. How blest the mother, in whose shrine The great Artificer Divine, Whose hand contains the earth and sky, Vouchsafed, as in His ark, to lie! • [Luk 2:11] Praise God The Lord, Ye Sons Of Men

  Praise God the Lord, ye sons of men, Before His highest throne; Today He opens Heav’n again And gives us His own Son. He leaves His heav’nly Father’s throne Is born an Infant small, And in a manger, poor and lone, Lies in a humble stall. He veils in flesh His power divine A servant’s form to take; In want and lowliness must pine Who Heav’n and earth did make. He nestles at His mother’s breast, Receives her tender care, Whom angels hail with joy most blest, King David’s royal Heir. ’Tis He who in these latter days From Judah’s tribe should come, By Whom the Father would upraise The Church, His Christendom.   This blessed night we seek Your throne In awe and wonder at that birth: The Child of Bethlehem who brought God’s grace and love back down to earth. Joseph and Mary, chosen ones, As parents to Your only Son, In faith they trudg’d those weary miles In order that Your will be done. Then shepherds, high in fields above The manger in a lowly shed, Heard angel messengers sing out Their “Peace on Earth, good will to men.” Wrapped round in cloths they found the Babe Lying at rest upon the hay. It was for us this Child was born And brought to us God’s bright new day. Eternal hope for all mankind! The price of sin You chose to pay!
